Cathy Dobbs
Principal
Mrs. Dobbs is the Principal of Coastal Christian Academy. She has been at CCA since its beginning in the summer of 2017. She was a teacher for the first 1½ years before becoming the principal in January of 2019.
Mrs. Dobbs has worked with children for almost 47 years, the first 16 years in a preschool setting, then in her favorite place – the world of the elementary student. She worked at Horizon Christian Academy for 24½ years as a teacher, Vice Principal and Principal. “I remember the very day, when I was only a few years out of high school, that the Lord confirmed in me that working with children was what He wanted me to do with my life. I have never turned back nor have I ever wanted to do anything else. My greatest satisfaction comes from interacting with the heart of a child and being able to encourage, guide and instruct them.”
Mrs. Dobbs has been happily married for 41 years and is the mother of 3 grown (and married) children, and the grandmother of 5 beautiful grandchildren.
